Jeff has held a wide range of executive leadership roles across many sectors within the life sciences industry. Most recently, Jeff was President and CEO of Cellero, a private equity-backed cell and gene therapy company. Cellero was comprised of two founder-led entities Key Biologics and Astarte Biologics, which Jeff successfully integrated and grew, doubling revenue in less than two years before selling to Charles River in 2020.
Prior to Cellero, Jeff held C-level roles with a number of transfusion medicine companies, including Versiti, Innovative Blood Resources and the American Red Cross. While at Versiti, Jeff led the effort to acquire the Milwaukee-based tissue bank and organ procurement organizations, which became an important part of the product and service portfolio. Jeff’s background also includes over 15 years with Baxter Healthcare in a wide range of finance and business development leadership roles in the fields of cardiovascular, renal and xenotransplantation.
Jeff is uniquely suited to contribute to the growth and operational plans of organizations with his broad background in life sciences and his strengths in strategy and business development. He has served on a number of Boards for transfusion medicine companies and national trade organizations. Jeff is an engaging leader who is very committed to fostering strong, dynamic teams and delivering the very best in service and quality products to meet the needs of patients, customers and key stakeholders.
Jeff holds an MBA in international business from the University of California-Irvine and a BS in finance from Northern Illinois University.
