Flavio Soares Correa da Silva

Flavio Soares Correa da Silva is an accomplished academic and professional with extensive experience in the field of artificial intelligence and engineering. Since August 1992, Flavio has served as an Associate Professor at Universidade de São Paulo, where Flavio also holds the position of Director at the USP Research Center on Open Source Software. In addition, Flavio is a Member of the expert network at Ethical Intelligence Associates, Limited, and has been an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Aberdeen since August 2016. Flavio has contributed as a Scientific and Academic Advisor at Autem Therapeutics until December 2023 and previously served as Associate Editor in Chief for the Applied Intelligence Journal from June 2016 to December 2019. Flavio has also held visiting faculty positions at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Transportation and Highway Engineering and Industrial Engineering, respectively, from USP.
