Pontus Molin

Pontus Molin is an experienced professional in resource management and administration, currently serving as the Head of Unit for Resource Management and Coordination at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since June 2018. Prior to this role, Pontus held the position of Director of Administration at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), where responsibilities included budget management, strategic advice to senior management, and the implementation of a new ERP system. Pontus’s extensive background at the United Nations spanned over 15 years, during which various leadership roles were undertaken, including Chief of Budget and Finance for the UN Support Office for AMISOM, Head of Policy and Best Practices, and Financial Management Officer. Earlier experience includes a role as Financial Controller at Daimler AG, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial strategy and process improvement. Pontus holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Goethe University Frankfurt.
