John Benavides

John Benavides has extensive experience in internal control and fraud investigation, currently serving as the Head of Internal Control at the European Investment Bank since March 2015. Prior to this role, John worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at the same institution from 2008 to 2015. John's earlier career includes a position as Manager of Risk Advisory Services at EY from 2002 to 2008, and Risk Advisory at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting from 2001 to 2002. Additionally, John gained experience as a Junior External Auditor at PwC Belgium from August 2000 to August 2001. John holds a Master's degree in Business Engineering from HEC Liège, completed in 2000, and spent a year studying at Swansea University from 1998 to 1999.
