Alessandro Tappi has been serving as the Chief Investment Officer at the European Investment Fund (EIF) since May 1995, overseeing Equity Investments and Guarantees activities. Joining EIF during its start-up phase, Alessandro played a pivotal role in expanding the institution's presence in capital markets, ultimately transforming EIF into the largest guarantee institution in SME securitisation. In addition to this role, Alessandro was a Board member at the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) from January 2006 to June 2008 and worked as a Senior Analyst in Corporate Finance and Project Financing at SanPaolo Bank from November 1990 to April 1995. Alessandro holds a Master in Business Administration from SAA and a degree from Università degli Studi di Torino.
