Raul MacHado

Raul Machado is an experienced academic and researcher with a significant background in bio-sustainability, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Since 2013, Raul has held multiple roles at Universidade do Minho, including vice-Executive Coordinator of the Institute of Science and Innovation for Bio-Sustainability (IB-S), Assistant Researcher, Researcher, and Invited Assistant Professor. Additionally, since August 2018, Raul has served as an Expert Monitor and Expert Evaluator for the European Research Executive Agency. Raul is also a member of the Building Global Innovators alumni group since January 2012 and was an Invited Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Escola de Economia e Gestão - Universidade do Minho from 2016 to 2020. Entrepreneurial experience includes co-founding euPA Sistemas from 2011 to 2017. Raul's educational background features a Ph.D. in Biology/Materials Science and Engineering, a Master's in Molecular Genetics, and a post-graduation in Management, all from Universidade do Minho.
