Stefania Rocca

Stefania Rocca is a skilled Project Adviser at the European Research Executive Agency (REA) since April 2021, with previous experience in the same role at the European Commission's Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) from January 2017 to March 2021, focusing on Horizon 2020 initiatives in the Eco-innovation sector and the transition to a circular economy. Prior to this, Stefania served as a Scientific Officer at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre from April 2014 to January 2017, specializing in innovative bioenergy pathways and the assessment of biofuels. Stefania's early career included a position as a junior Researcher/Post-Doc at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands, where research concentrated on carbon compounds in particulate matter. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Rome Sapienza.
