Sophocles Sophocleous

Sophocles Sophocleous, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and education. As Co-Founder of the Cyprus Value Investor Conference since 2016, Sophocles facilitates networking and idea exchange among global fund managers. Currently a Visiting Lecturer at European University Cyprus, Sophocles teaches CFA Level 1 courses and has previously developed a unique portfolio management course at the Cyprus International Institute of Management. Roles include Senior Advisor at VERAISON Capital AG, Head of Asset Management at SPA Financial Services Ltd, and Portfolio Manager at cdbbank. A former Head of Research at Argo Capital Management with a proven track record in distressed debt and high-yield investments, Sophocles has also played a pivotal role in establishing research departments and investment analysis practices throughout a diverse career. Sophocles holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
