Alain Lempereur

Alain Lempereur serves as the Leadership & Negotiation Chair at the European University Institute's Florence School for Transnational Governance since December 2020, focusing on responsible negotiation, mediation, and leadership. Lempereur facilitates programs such as "Leaders' Engagement As Responsible Negotiators" and co-teaches courses on Responsible Leadership and Negotiating Transnational Policy. Additionally, since October 1993, Lempereur has been an Affiliate Faculty & Executive Committee Member at the Program on Negotiation, contributing to mediators' engagement and conflict resolution efforts. Lempereur holds the title of Alan B. Slifka Tenured Professor of Conflict Resolution at Brandeis University and is a Senior Advisor at CO-DEV, advancing responsible negotiation worldwide. Lempereur's extensive career includes leadership roles at ESSEC Business School and Harvard Law School, alongside a solid educational background with a doctorate from Harvard Law School and multiple degrees from the Université libre de Bruxelles.
