Gábor Gyura

Gábor Gyura is a professional with extensive experience in sustainable finance and regulation. Currently serving as the Founder and Director of Aquincum Sustainable Finance since August 2024, Gyura also holds part-time positions as an Assistant Professor at the European University Institute and as a Contract Consultant for the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative. Previous roles include Assistant Professor of Sustainable Finance at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and Head of Sustainable Finance at Magyar Nemzeti Bank, where Gyura developed analytical and policy-making strategies to enhance environmental sustainability within the financial sector. Gyura's academic credentials include a PhD in Earth Sciences focused on the financial sector's role in environmental sustainability from the University of Pécs, and an M.A. in Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest.
