Ty Ahmad-Taylor

Ty Ahmad-Taylor is the current advisor at Ever. Prior to this, they were the CEO and President at THX Ltd from November 2015 to May 2017. Ty was hired to grow the long-standing media and consumer electronics company into new sectors including VR, mobile devices, and immersive three-dimensional audio. Ty built a consumer products unit to deploy portfolio IP directly to consumers in the cinematic sound space. Ty was also a member of the board of directors and hired the company's first Chief Technical Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, heads of Business and Consumer products, and reorganized the company to put it on the path to success. Ty evolved HR functions into a People-oriented business focused on attracting, hiring and retaining the best talent in the Bay Area. Ty also hired a full-time general counsel. Under their leadership, THX was sold to Razer Ltd. one year after their arrival, providing a successful exit to LucasFilm Ltd. (owned by Disney) and a private equity ownership. Pre-sale, they created an IP portfolio assessment matrix for assisting in company valuation. THX has staff in San Francisco, Detroit, Ontario, Beijing and Tokyo. Their partners with certified products include Panasonic, Onkyo, Logitech, Razer, Klipsch, Cinemark, and Beyoncé.

Ty Ahmad-Taylor has a B.S. in Economics from Haverford College and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University in the City of New York. Ty is currently the Head of School at Head-Royce School.
