Steve Wakefield is the current Chairman at Evnex. Steve has also previously held the position at Foodstuffs South Island, New Zealand Health Innovation Hub, Christchurch Cathedral Reinstatement Limited, Brackenridge Services, Steve Wakefield Services Limited, Church Property Trustees, and Greater Christchurch Schools Network Trust.

Steve Wakefield has a Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury, a B. Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury, and a B. Com. in Accounting from the University of Canterbury.
