Abdel Elmasri

Abdel Elmasri is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a robust background in the mining, retail, and energy sectors. Since July 2020, Abdel has been working with Evolution Mining as an Electrical Engineer. Prior to this, Abdel held various engineering roles at Newcrest Mining from April 2017 to July 2020, including Electrical Reliability Engineer for both the Cadia East Underground mine and the Ore Treatment Plant. Abdel's earlier experience includes roles at Woolworths Supermarkets, focusing on customer service and staff training, and a position at Ergon Energy as a Vacation Electrical Reliability Engineer, analyzing network performance. Abdel also served as a Student Mentor and Academic Tutor at James Cook University, supporting new engineering students. Abdel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics from James Cook University and completed an Electrician trade course at TECNQ.
