Onyi Chidolue

Onyi Chidolue is an accomplished electrical engineer with a diverse background in energy management and maintenance, currently serving as an Electrical Maintenance - Energy Management professional at Evolution Mining since January 2024. Prior experience includes roles in electrical maintenance, planning, and scheduling at Teck Resources Limited, alongside engineering work focused on decarbonization. As a Research Fellow at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Onyi developed innovative solutions for oil spillage using renewable energy and implemented SCADA systems for data acquisition and monitoring. Teaching contributions involved supporting courses in renewable energy and engineering design, enhancing the understanding of advanced technologies among students. Onyi's earlier roles encompassed technical support at the Petroleum Equalization Fund management board and internships in photovoltaic (PV) systems and power transmission, culminating in a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Memorial University and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Nigeria.
