Shayani Weeresinghe

Shayani Weeresinghe is a Sustainable Business Specialist and Sustainable Consumption and Production Specialist at Expertise France, contributing to the EU Green Recovery Facility initiative aimed at sustainable growth in Sri Lanka. With a diverse background, Shayani holds a Visiting Fellow position at the Centre for a Smart Future and served as a Non-Executive Director at the International Youth Alliance for Peace. Previous experience includes managing product marketing and partnerships at RS Metrics, coordinating national projects at the Federation of Sri Lankan Local Government Authorities, and leading ESG research delivery at Moody's Analytics. Shayani has also played a pivotal role in sustainability initiatives at Coca-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Ltd., advanced disaster resilience education projects at the University of Moratuwa, and engaged with the Global Shapers Community. Education includes a BSc Hons in Environmental Science from the University of Nottingham.
