Joakim Rydström

Joakim Rydström is an accomplished audio editor currently serving as the head of podcasts and editorial development of audio journalism at Expressen since March 2019. With a rich background in digital media, Rydström worked as a project leader and analyst at Sveriges Radio, where expertise in digital audience behavior was cultivated. Previous roles included content developer and digital content manager, contributing significantly to audience engagement strategies. Prior to that, Rydström was the managing editor for digital platforms at Nerikes Allehanda, overseeing a team of music critics and bloggers. Rydström’s early career includes freelance journalism and project leadership in culture and music, alongside establishing music clubs and a record label. Rydström holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric from Örebro University.
