Guillaume Backe

Guillaume Backe is an accomplished geoscientist with extensive experience in structural geology and reservoir management. Currently serving as a Global New Opportunity Geoscientist at ExxonMobil since November 2019, Guillaume has previously worked as a Senior Structural Geologist for BP's Khazzan Reservoir Management Team in Oman, where contributions significantly enhanced subsurface and business skills in reservoir appraisal and development. Academic roles include serving as an Adjunct Senior Lecturer and earlier as a Lecturer at the University of Adelaide, delivering courses and leading field experiences in geology. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Pau and Adour Countries, complemented by a Master's in Earth Sciences from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III.
