Víctor Zabalza

Víctor Zabalza is a Principal Engineer and Software Engineer specializing in machine learning platforms at Faculty since May 2016. Previously, Zabalza served as a Data Science Fellow, transitioning from scientific research to data science. At the University of Leicester from November 2013 to March 2016, Zabalza worked as a Research Associate focusing on data analysis and open-source software development for high-energy gamma-ray observations. Prior roles include Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics, where Zabalza analyzed gamma-ray observations, and FPU predoctoral fellow at Universitat de Barcelona, engaged in multiwavelength campaigns and theoretical model development. Zabalza holds a PhD in High Energy Astrophysics, a Master’s Degree in Astrophysics, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, all from Universitat de Barcelona.
