Kirk Fordham’s experience spans philanthropy, advocacy and government affairs, with a special expertise in politics and public policy. He currently serves as a Senior Director of Member and Board Relations at the National Association of Manufacturers.
Kirk spent 18 years on Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff to two Members of Congress, including time within the Leadership team in the U.S. House of Representatives. He managed multiple Congressional campaigns and served as the Finance Director for a successful U.S. Senate campaign.
Following his tenure on Capitol Hill, Kirk served as CEO of the Everglades Foundation, a conservation group focused on preserving and protecting the greater Everglades ecosystem and much of South Florida’s water supply.
He spent four years as Executive Director of the Gill Action Fund, the multistate issue advocacy organization that played a central role in the legalization of same-sex marriage in the United States.
Kirk has consulted for a range of advocacy organizations including the Human Rights Campaign, Everytown for Gun Safety, and on wildlife conservation and climate change policy for Paul Allen’s Vulcan, Inc.
He serves on the boards of the Everglades Trust, American Unity Fund and Family Equality.
Kirk lives with his husband, Mike Cevarr and their two sons, Lukas and Levi in Pittsburgh, PA.
