Talisha Bekavac

Talisha Bekavac is Executive Vice President at the United States Black Chambers (USBC). USBC provides visionary leadership and advocacy in the realization of economic empowerment for the 2.6M Black-owned businesses in America. In her role, Talisha works with policymakers to promote legislation that expands small businesses and addresses the unique challenges facing Black entrepreneurs. Additionally, she leads external engagement with corporations to encourage inclusive strategies on access to capital, supplier diversity, and community investment. Talisha currently serves as a MOSAIC Fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute where she provides thought leadership to media and policymakers on small business issues. She is also a Google NEXTGEN policy leader which is an initiative to address and solve the challenges of diversity in technology.

Prior to her work at USBC, Talisha worked in the telecommunications industry where she led market development for industry leaders i.e. Cisco, Sprint, and Comcast NBC Universal. Talisha is a cum laude graduate of Florida A&M University where she studied Public Relations and Political Science. She and her wife reside in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC.
