Eric Abrecht

Eric Abrecht has extensive experience in mathematics education, currently serving as Director of Mathematics at Family Life Academy Charter Schools since July 2022 and as a Math Tutor for NYC Teachers Who Tutor since October 2021. Previous roles include Math Curriculum Consultant at PAVE Academy Charter School and Bytelearn, where Eric authored math solutions for an AI-driven digital teaching assistant. At Ascend Public Charter Schools, Eric held multiple positions, including Math Curriculum Consultant and Math Dean of Instruction, focusing on the development of math curriculum and teacher training. Eric's early career includes positions at DREAM and a Corps Member role with Teach For America, where Eric was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2014. Education includes a Master's degree in Special and General Education from Hunter College and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Loyola University Maryland.
