Felicia Young

Felicia Young is an accomplished outreach and education professional with extensive experience in community engagement and program development. Currently serving as the Regional Outreach Coordinator at Family Scholar House since January 2022, Felicia has successfully recruited 90 new single-parent and first-generation college student participants and provides mentoring for college-bound adults. Prior to this role, Felicia worked at Metro United Way from May 2016 to January 2022 in various leadership capacities, including Senior Manager of Education, Training and Professional Development, where over 30 training sessions were designed for Out-of-School-Time staff. Earlier experience includes the role of Community Outreach Specialist at Louisville Metro Government, coordinating training sessions for OST staff, and a tenure as a Certified Substitute Teacher at Jefferson County Public Schools. Felicia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Louisville and has earned certificates in Diversity and Inclusion as well as Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University.
