Steve Whyte is currently the Project Leader at Fast Slow Motion. Prior to that, they were with Regions Financial Corporation from January 2003 to December 2006 as the Software Architect Manager. While at Regions Financial Corporation, Steve led a newly formed team of Senior Application Architects and Engineers that were responsible for defining and communicating the systems and services to standardize the development processes, technologies, architectures and IT Support (ITIL) for the 8th largest US Financial Institution. Additionally, the team provided system engineering services for the design, analysis and troubleshooting of all distributed systems including servers (Windows and Unix), networks, SANs, firewalls, databases and applications.
During their time at Regions Financial Corporation, Steve increased application availability by 20% by spearheading the deployment of virtualization technologies into the enterprise. Steve also completed 10+ projects including Check 21 Remote Deposit capture on time and under budget. In addition, Steve defined 20+ development standards and process automation to the enterprise. Another accomplishment includes leading a complete reengineering of the intranet services into Websphere Portal for all 25,000 employees with no downtime. Finally, Steve was able to increase loan volume by 20%, decrease loan decision times by 25% and closing closing timelines down to a single day in some instances when reducing backend employee staff by 20% through re-architecting the integration of all lending systems and services. Lastly, they optimized the ITIL processes and procedures for enterprise change management through reducing time and resources by 20%.
Steve Whyte's educational career includes a Master of Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington, a BSAE from the United States Air Force Academy, and Granite Hills High School.
