Larry Hirsch

Larry Hirsch has extensive experience in urban planning and strategic development, currently serving as a Reservist for Individual Assistance at FEMA since August 2023. As Director of Strategic Development at Solstreet, LLC since March 2019, Larry develops and markets innovative solar-powered benches for urban environments. Previously, Larry held the role of Senior Program Officer for Government Investments at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) from November 2020 to March 2023, and served as a Senior Community Planning and Development Representative at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) from August 2000 to November 2020. Additionally, Larry was a member of the Transition Team for Governor-elect Phil Murphy in late 2017, focusing on housing policy proposals. Larry holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Connecticut College.
