Leticia M. Olivera

Leticia M. Olivera is an experienced legal professional serving as an Assistant Federal Defender at the Federal Defender Organizations since April 2024, after holding the same title at the Federal Defenders of New York Inc. from September 2018 to March 2024. Prior to this, Leticia worked as an Assistant Federal Public Defender at the Federal Defender Organizations from September 2015 to September 2018, and as a Staff Attorney Fellow at the Center for Appellate Litigation from September 2014 to August 2015. Leticia began a legal career as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP between January 2012 and September 2014, and gained international experience as a Law Clerk at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in late 2011. Early in the career, Leticia served as a Children's Project Paralegal at Americans for Immigrant Justice from October 2006 to May 2008. Academic achievements include a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, a Master II Professionnel in Law and Global Economic Affairs from Sciences Po, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Florida.
