Roel Staes

Roel Staes is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the transportation and logistics sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President Legal, General Counsel for International Operations and Head of Sustainability Europe at FedEx Express since June 2002. Roel Staes has held various roles within FedEx, including Vice President of Legal for Europe, the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa, and Managing Director of Legal & Regulatory Affairs. Additionally, Roel Staes served as a Non-Executive Director at FedEx Express Swisspost GmbH from September 2016 to October 2018 and was a Board Member at the European Express Association from May 2010 to May 2013. Prior to joining FedEx, Roel Staes worked as Legal & Business Affairs Manager at EMI Music from October 1996 to May 2002.
