Richard currently serves as a regional executive for Think Together, California’s largest non-profit expanded learning provider. Richard oversees Think Together’s Bay Area Region, serving over 3,000 students who wouldn’t otherwise have access to a fun, safe, and enriching place to go after school.
Richard began his career in Expanded Learning in 2007, leading the “Fifth Dimension” –a community-based afterschool program through the Education Department at Whittier College that focused on the intersection of education, community, technology, and college readiness. As the Director of Program Services for the Boys & Girls Club, Richard spearheaded several academic programs and managed many of their County, State, and Federal grants.
A proud graduate of Whittier College, Richard received his Bachelor of Arts in Studies in Social Justice & Social Change (a self-designed major comprised of Sociology, Social Work, and Spanish) in 2011. Richard continued his studies at Whittier College and went on to complete his Master of Arts in Education in 2012.
