Focusing on the fenestration industry in its respective region, this committee will follow the Mission of Fenestration Canada: ∙ Supporting our members in this region by providing education, networking, and technical resources; ∙ Connecting fenestration industry stakeholders; and ∙ Addressing regulatory issues that affect our members. COMMITTEE MEMBERS A. Shall consist of active voting members of Fenestration Canada. A Chair and Co-chair shall be selected from this list of members. Invited guests may be included in meetings at the Chair/Co chairs discretion and invitation. B. Potential members and/or audience will include fabricators, suppliers, and industry stakeholders such as homebuilder association representatives, home warranty program representatives, architects, engineers, specifiers, and building officials involved in the residential window and door industry. C. The Chair/Co-chair terms will be two years and be renewed at the Spring AGM. Chairs must be approved by the Board of Directors. GOALS ∙ To serve as a committee of Fenestration Canada and be a resource/voice for those involved in the fenestration industry in their particular region. ∙ To identify and communicate with key stakeholders of the region. ∙ To work with related stakeholder groups to educate, train and assist in all aspects related to fenestration. REPORTING ∙ Activities specific to the region will be presented to the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors for review and approval that support the goals above. ∙ At every board meeting (4 times per year), the committee chairs will be tasked with providing a summary of all actions, activities and achievements for the region, as well as future objectives. ACTIVITIES/REGIONAL EVENTS ∙ Host an annual technical session to provide a much needed forum for stakeholders to learn and network on fenestration products and the fenestration industry. ∙ Help to promote and coordinate Fenestration Canada activities in the region such as webinars, podcasts, FIT training, etc. MEETING FREQUENCY ∙ Meetings will be held at least quarterly in person or conference call. ∙ Meetings can be called ad-hoc if required. ∙ Twice per year (at the Spring Conference and WinDoor) there will be a meeting scheduled for all Chairs from Regional Committees of Fenestration Canada.
