Alba Pons Pons

Alba Pons Pons, PhD, currently serves as a Life Sciences Associate Consultant at Fenix Group International, LLC, since November 2022. With over five years of experience at IRB Barcelona, Alba focused on molecular medicine, managing a PhD project that investigated the relationship between mitochondrial function and cell cycle regulation, which involved the integration and analysis of scientific data across four cellular pathways. Prior roles include Junior Scientist at the University of Barcelona, where Alba studied retinitis pigmentosa and its genetic underpinnings, and Research Associate at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research, involved in research on prostate cancer chemoresistance. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences and a Master's degree in Genetics and Genomics from Universitat de Barcelona, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences.
