Daniel Wilmot

Daniel Wilmot is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Finance for FIFA World Cup 26™ in Kansas City since January 2025, Daniel previously held positions at The University of Kansas, including Director of Budgets & Financial Services for the KU Office of Research and Finance Manager for the School of Business. Prior to that, Daniel worked at the University of Kentucky as a Budget Officer for the College of Business & Economics and as a Business Analyst in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Additional experience includes an Audit Senior Associate role at Deloitte and positions at Full Hearts and Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Daniel holds a Master's degree in Management and an MBA from the University of Kentucky, as well as a BBA in Accounting and a BA in French from Texas A&M University.
