Tobias Thygesen

Tobias Thygesen is a seasoned professional in the financial sector with extensive experience in fintech, payment services, and governance roles. Currently serving as Director of Fintech, Payment Services, and Governance at Finanstilsynet, Tobias has previously held significant positions, including Deputy Director of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and in payment services. Prior roles include Head of Payments Infrastructure at Finansrådet and various analyst positions at Jyske Bank and Danske Bank, focusing on asset allocation and foreign exchange research. Tobias began a career in market operations as an Advisor for FX and Money Markets at Danmarks Nationalbank. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Economics from both Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen and the University of Bristol.
