Soula Proxenos has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services sector and has worked for some of the largest financial services companies in Africa and the United States. She founded a private equity fund in Africa and was formerly managing director of International Housing Solutions, where she led the effort to found the South African Workforce Housing Fund. Prior to that, for seven years she served as managing director of Fannie Mae’s International Housing Financial Services.
Ms. Proxenos is an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and at Johns Hopkins University School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She serves as an independent non-executive director for several companies and acts as a consultant and advisor to select organizations.
Born and educated in South Africa, Ms. Proxenos holds a B.A. from Wits University and an M.B.A. from the University of Stellenbosch.
