Nick Cook is the Founder and Director of FinCrime Dynamics. Nick has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on financial crime, regulation, and innovation.
Nick began their career at EY in 1995, where they spent 10 years working in the assurance practice. Nick then moved to Sandbox Consulting, a boutique consulting firm specializing in financial services, where they were a Partner for 7 years. In 2013, Nick joined the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) as a Financial Innovation Standing Committee Member. Nick held this position for 7 years before joining the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as Director of Innovation in 2020.
Nick has also been actively involved in several industry initiatives focused on financial innovation and regulation. Nick was a founding member of the RegTech for Regulators Accelerator (R2A) and served as Chairman of the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN) from 2019 to 2021. Nick is currently the Chair of the FinTech Network at the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
Nick Cook's educational career includes completing an Advanced Manager Programme at Cranfield School of Management, as well as an ACCA at BPP Law School. Nick also holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from University of Leeds, and has A-Levels in Economics, Maths, Geography, and General Studies from Bancroft's School.
