Sofia Pinto

Sofia Pinto is an experienced librarian currently serving as a Bibliotecário at Fingal County Council since April 2024. Previously, Sofia held the position of Chefe da Unidade das Bibliotecas e Leitura Pública at Câmara Municipal de Loures from September 2022 to April 2024, and worked as a Branch Librarian for Município de Oeiras from August 2020 to November 2022. Earlier roles include Librarian at Dublin City Council’s Central Library- Ilac, and a significant tenure at Oeiras Valley, where Sofia coordinated the Oeiras School Library Network from September 2018 to September 2019. Sofia's background also includes coordination at Biblioteca da Universidade Atlântica and teaching history at both EB23 Monte da Caparica and EB23 Prof. Noronha Feio. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Education and Reading from the University of Lisbon, a Postgraduate in Document Sciences - Libraries from Universidade Lusófona, and a Bachelor's in Historical Education from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa.
