Toon Vanagt

Toon Vanagt has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Toon started their career in 2001 as the Managing Director of Casius.com, an internet platform connecting homeowners with qualified contractors.

In 2002, they founded Virtualisers bvba, a company offering management, consulting, and coaching services. Through Virtualisers, they also operated niche portals and provided ICT project management and strategy consulting.

In 2003, they became the Owner and Publisher of Virtualization.com, a platform focused on virtualization technology.

In 2012, they became the Managing Partner of Data.be, where they structured business information and facilitated company discovery and qualification.

In 2015, they took on multiple roles including Managing Partner at Lex.be, a legal search platform, Chairman of Open Knowledge Belgium, a non-profit organization for Open Knowledge initiatives, and Co-founder and Board Member of FINTECH Belgium, an umbrella organization for innovative financial initiatives.

In 2017, they co-founded Betacowork: Coworking & Collaboration, a coworking space, and BeCentral, a digital transformation center.

Additionally, they served as the Fund Manager of Lean FUND, a fund management company.

Throughout their career, Toon Vanagt has demonstrated their expertise in business development, entrepreneurship, and management across various sectors.

Toon Vanagt attended the Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 1991 to 1998, where they pursued a degree in Handelsingenieur Solvay with a focus on Bedrijfsinformatica. Prior to that, they studied at the Collège Saint-Michel de Bruxelles from 1989 to 1991. Additionally, from 1980 to 1989, they attended the Sint-Lievens College in Antwerpen. It is not stated whether they obtained a degree or pursued a specific field of study at these two institutions.
