Siobhan Avenell is an experienced HR professional currently serving as the Global Head of People and Senior Director at First Mode since June 2021, where responsibilities include leading a team of over 16 Recruitment and HR specialists and driving strategies focused on fostering innovation and sustainability. Prior to this role, Siobhan held the position of Director of People & Culture at First Mode, overseeing significant growth initiatives and the establishment of the Australian entity from an HR perspective. Previous experience includes serving as Senior People & Culture Partner for the APAC region at Telstra Purple, where Siobhan led projects aimed at enhancing workplace culture during periods of organizational change and acquisition. Additionally, Siobhan was the Organisational Development Lead at Ignia, contributing to substantial team growth and recognition as one of the Best Places to Work in Australia. Siobhan's career began as a Senior Technology Recruiter and Account Manager at Candle, focusing on IT recruitment strategies. Siobhan holds a Master of Human Resources Management from Murdoch University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
