Brenton Burns

Brenton Burns is Executive Vice President for UPMC Enterprises. In this role, Brent is responsible for leading, developing and executing on UPMC Enterprises’ strategy, commercialization efforts and portfolio management.

Prior to UPMC, Brent was Corporate Head of Business Development at Anthem as well as Managing Director for HealthyCare Solutions. In these roles, Brent was responsible for developing and executing on the company’s strategy (particularly around provider collaboration and services, consumer centricity, and data & analytics) as well as leading the HealthyCare Solutions platform. Prior to WellPoint, Brent served as Senior Vice President – Strategy, Product Management, Business Development and Marketing for McKesson. In this role, he was responsible for leading strategic planning and commercialization processes, product and project management, marketing, business development, acquisitions, and organic growth initiatives. Preceding this role, Burns served various roles in the McKesson Corporate Strategy and Business Development group.
