O'Neil Smith is an experienced academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Co-Director of the Information Characterization & Exploitation Lab at the Florida Institute of Technology since June 2014. Prior to this role, O'Neil Smith worked at Harris Corporation from May 2000 to May 2014 as a Senior Research Scientist, focusing on innovative solutions and algorithms in signal, video, and image intelligence, while also taking on leadership responsibilities as a Chief Software Engineer. Educational credentials include a PhD and Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, an MS in Computer Science from Webster University, and a BS in Computer Science from Clemson University.
