Robert Salonen Mpa

Robert Salonen, MPA, is an experienced professional in government affairs and strategic partnerships, currently serving as the Director of Government Affairs & Strategic Partnerships at the Florida Institute of Technology since November 2014. Prior to this role, Robert held the position of Director of Business Development at the Economic Development Commission of Florida's Space Coast from 2005 to 2014, where a focus was placed on consulting with high-tech and manufacturing companies. Earlier in Robert's career, the co-founder and Director of Marketing & Development at Brevard Regional Hyperbaric Center/Southern Aero Medical Institute from 1996 to 2004, involvement included creating a comprehensive business plan and managing key operational aspects. Robert holds a Master of Public Administration from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
