Italo Linfante M.D.

Italo Linfante MD, FAHA, FSVIN serves as a Clinical Professor and Neurology Chief of Service at Baptist Hospital for the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University since July 2009. Additionally, Italo Linfante is the Director of Endovascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Neuroradiology at Baptist Health South Florida. Previously, leadership roles included serving as President and President Elect of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology from 2015 to November 2019. With academic appointments at esteemed institutions such as the University of Massachusetts and Harvard Medical School, Italo Linfante has extensive training including fellowships in Interventional Neuroradiology and Cerebrovascular Diseases at Harvard Medical School, as well as residency in Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. The foundational medical education includes degrees from the University of Rome "La Sapienza," culminating in a Medical Doctor degree.
