Mark Bird

Mark Bird serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Florida State University since 1992, where additional roles include Associate Director of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL), Distinguished University Scholar, Director of the Magnet Science and Technology Division at NHMFL, and Resistive Magnet Program Manager. Since March 2007, Mark Bird has also been a member of the Board of Directors for Florida State University Magnet Research and Development. Educational credentials include a PhD and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, earned between 1988 and 1992, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanics from Michigan State University, obtained from 1984 to 1988.
