Michael Engsig

Michael Engsig currently serves as CEO and Chief Operating Officer at Nykode Therapeutics since August 2019, and is also a Board Member at FluoGuide A/S as of March 2023. Previously, Michael Engsig held senior roles at KLIFO A/S as EVP of Drug Development Counselling and Business Development from January 2017 to July 2019, and at PPD as Executive Director - Area Head Clinical Management for Central and Eastern Europe from September 2015 to December 2016. Earlier experience includes significant positions at Takeda Pharmaceuticals from August 2011 to June 2015, where responsibilities encompassed commercial leadership for established products and heading the Takeda-Nycomed Russian Innovation Center. Michael Engsig began a career at Nycomed, where a range of roles from Senior Director of Clinical Operations to Project Manager were fulfilled, spanning from 2003 to 2011. An educational background includes a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the Technical University of Denmark.
