Benjamin Daniel, Ph.D., SCYM(ASCP)CM, is the Director of the Research Flow Cytometry Core at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. He earned a Ph.D. in immunology where he studied the immune response to the pathogen Toxoplasma gondii, and researched anti-tumor immunity during his postdoctoral and junior faculty appointments. He has 21+ years of cytometry experience with 11+ years directing shared resource laboratories (SRLs) in both the academic and pharmaceutical settings. His experience in cytometry is very broad and ranges from designing and analyzing very high parameter panels to assisting to implement high-throughput robotic-assisted cytometry methods. Dr. Daniel has served as the Vice President of FlowTex, a Texas-based cytometry user group, and is an active member in the International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) where he has participated in various sub-committees and taskforces within that organization.
