Konstantijn Rommens

Phd Fellowship Strategic Basic Research at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO

Konstantijn Rommens is currently a PhD Fellow in Strategic Basic Research at Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen (FWO) and a PhD Researcher at Universiteit Gent since November 2020. Previously, Konstantijn Rommens worked as a Tutor at BijlesHuis from 2018 to 2020 and completed a Research Internship at Universidad San Francisco de Quito focused on upscaling the fermentation process of bio-ethanol in 2019. In addition, Konstantijn Rommens served as the Incoming Coordinator for IAESTE Belgium, managing accommodation and activities for trainees from 2017 to August 2019, and was a member of the committee responsible for organizing events. Earlier roles include Member of the recruiting team and Project Engineer at Humasol, where Konstantijn Rommens contributed to renewable energy projects in the Global South. Academic background includes a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemical Technology and Materials Science Engineering from Ghent University and Politecnico di Milano, respectively, along with a high school diploma in Science-Mathematics from Xaveriuscollege.
