Maarten Dobbelaere

Maarten Dobbelaere is a doctoral researcher at Universiteit Gent focusing on machine learning applications in pharmaceutical discovery and synthesis, with ongoing PhD research in chemical engineering. Currently serving as an FWO Aspirant at Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek - Vlaanderen since November 2021, Maarten is engaged in strategic basic research on computer-aided organic synthesis in flow. Previous experience includes research internship at SABIC, an internship trainee position at Yokogawa, where dynamic process simulations of LNG calibration were conducted, and an engineering internship at TE Connectivity concentrating on optimizing injection molding processes using recycled plastic. Maarten Dobbelaere has an educational background that includes a Master of Science in Chemical Technology from both Ghent University and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, along with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science from Ghent University.
