Wouter Botte

Wouter Botte is a postdoctoral researcher at Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) and a lecturer at KU Leuven, specializing in structural engineering and risk analysis. Current research focuses on the reliability-based assessment of concrete structures considering spatio-temporal variations and uncertainties. Teaching expertise includes courses on structural stability, risk management, and design of structural components at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Previous experience includes a PhD fellowship and postdoctoral work at Ghent University, as well as internships at Willy Naessens Industriebouw and Vlaamse Overheid. Wouter holds multiple degrees in Civil Engineering from Ghent University, including a Master of Science and a Doctorate.
