Jim Palma

Jim Palma is the current Community Network Builder at FoodShare. Prior to this, Jim was a Consultant at American School for the Deaf from December 2011 to January 2013. In this role, they researched, recommended, and tested software applications that automatically scheduled the best qualified substitute teachers and residential staff. Jim also developed and oversaw project milestones for implementation of a computerized time and attendance system to manage an $800,000 overtime budget.

From January 2009 to May 2010, Jim was a Partnership Specialist at the US Census Bureau. And from October 2007 to January 2009, they were the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity.

Most recently, in March 2011, Jim became an Encore! Fellow at HARC, Inc (providing services to people with intellectual disabilities).

Jim Palma has a masters in Community Planning from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelors in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut. Jim also has certification from the University of Connecticut in Nonprofit Leadership and Management Training and certification from the Bureau of the Census, US Department of Commerce in Cross-Cultural Communications.
