Alex Ramsay

Alex Ramsay currently serves as the Head of National Goalkeeping for the Football Association of Wales, a position held since December 2024. Prior to this role, Ramsay was the Goalkeeping Scouting Manager at Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club from July 2023 to December 2024. Ramsay's experience includes serving as Head of Football Operations at GRiT Sports Management between June 2021 and July 2023, and as Lead Professional Development Phase Coach as well as Lead Youth Development Phase Coach at Shrewsbury Town FC from February 2017 to June 2021. Additionally, Ramsay worked as U23 and U16/U18 Goalkeeper Coach at Swansea City Football Club from September 2014 to January 2017, and as a Professional Player at The New Saints Football Club from May 2011 to June 2013. Ramsay's educational background includes a BTEC National Diploma in Sport from Walford and North Shropshire College and completion of studies at Llanfyllin High School from 2006 to 2010.
