Kat Southwell

Kat Southwell is an experienced professional in the sports and community engagement sector, currently serving as the Community Engagement Lead at the Football Foundation since October 2024. Prior to this role, Kat held the position of Head of Operations and Impact at Activity Alliance from May 2018 to October 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing operational planning, impact evaluation, and maintaining the organization's reputation. Earlier experience includes managing substantial investments in national programs, such as a £6 million investment at Activity Alliance and a £4.5 million project with the English Federation of Disability Sport. Kat began a career in sports development in 2009, focusing on innovative initiatives to engage disabled and non-disabled individuals in physical activity. Kat holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports and Exercise from the University of Bath.
