Kyle Dent

Kyle Dent is a lecturer at Fordham University, teaching undergraduate courses in computer science since September 2023. Previously, Kyle worked at Checkstep as a Tech Ethics and Policy professional where responsibilities included tracking online platform regulations and contributing to policy definitions on various online harms. Prior to that, Kyle served as Research Director of AI and Data Science Manager at Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), overseeing AI/ML strategies and guiding research outcomes. Kyle has experience as a Software Services Architect at Hewlett-Packard, where high-availability Internet applications were developed, and founded SeaGlass Technologies, a web hosting and consulting company. Earlier roles included VP & Product Manager at Shearson Lehman Brothers. Academic credentials include an MS in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering, an MFA in Motion Pictures from the University of Miami, and a BA in English Literature, French Language and Literature, and Classical Studies from Boston University.
